Frank Zappa is considdered to be one of the early pioneers of Progressive rock. And Hot Rats is considdered by many as his best album. His music mixes in lots of jazz and psychedelic goodness.

When I first heard this album I instantly fell in love with it.
You owe it to yourself to have heard this piece of classic psychadelic rock atleast once.

As for things i can compare it to... No idea. Its not really a genre of music I have listened to a lot. But I'm trying to change that. :)
