Osiris - Osiris - 1981

Quote from Psarros on Progarchives.
"This album has two very big surprises for you...Firstly,of course,it's the country, from where the band hails : Bahrain!!!Yes,in the depths of Arabia...It's unbelievable to imagine how this guys even did know what progressive rock is!...Secondly comes the similarity of this band with CAMEL...Did CAMEL move to Bahrain in the 80's?..."

Indeed this is great symphonic prog-rock from the middle east. If you like Camel or Eloy you definately need to get this.

Pete Bardens - Seen one earth - 1987

When Pete left Camel he walked down the path of electronica. Making very relaxing music, mostly instrumental.
This might not apeal to all Camel fans but you should all give it a chance. I for one love it.

Kayak - Eyewitness - 1981

Quote from progarchives.com
"This major Dutch Progressive band that started out heavily in the GENESIS mode with their first couple of albums. But they were also developing a short-song style at this point, which ballooned into a full-fledged prog-pop style that (surprise!) actually works well. This band performs an elaborated and velvet music with sweet vocals in the style of MOODY BLUES. Their music is based on well-built and elaborated melodies and efficient instrumental parts. KAYAK was considered a subtle mix of GENESIS with the best SUPERTRAMP."

Swimmer Tamichan - Gun.Smoke - 1988

Another childhood favourite of mine. This wild-west style soundtrack was way superior to the soundtrack used in the arcade version of the game... Infact everything about the NES version was superior to the arcade game... Well except perhaps the colour count =P

Neo - Neo - 1980

French progressive rock that reminds me quite a bit of Camel. This album is completely instrumental and there ain't a single song on it that I would hessitate for even a second to recomend to people.

Quote from amazon.com "The band can successively remind of Bo HANSSON, CAMEL (Mel COLLINS's period) or CARAVAN, and sometimes KING CRIMSON ("Islands" days). An absolute rarity, to be rediscovered without delay !"

Doug Hubbard - Rygar - 1987

Here is a childhood favourite of mine that i still love two decades after it was made.

Rygar started as a very strightforward arcade platformer... It was not a very good game, and it didnt have any good music. All the home console and computer ports of the game followed the very same formula. But for some reason when it came to releasing it on the Nintendo Entertainment System they decided to instead make a completely new game, only bearing the same name. And that was a very good descision cause the NES game is now a classic while the other versions have faded into obscurity.
Anyways, the soundtrack is partly made using very primitive sounds even by the NES hardwares standard. Some people might think it sounds terrible, but personaly I think it fits really well. Resulting in one of the best soundtracks on the system.

Any fan of videogame soundtracks or old Synth music should atleast give it a try.
